Learn Collaborative Project Development!
“If you want to go faster, go alone. If you want to go farther, go together.”
Have you ever been told that your communications are “preaching to the choir”? Have you felt like your storytelling is just a drop in a wide, wide ocean of content?
Collaborative storytelling can be a way to avoid these communications pitfalls. When we collaborate with other organizations, we enhance our abilities to cut through the noise and make our stories heard, amplify our messages, making our communications efforts more effective.
At the same time, coordinating multiple partners with different goals to produce a common communications product or outcome is not a straightforward process.
Join us in person May 21-22, 2026, in Fort Collins, Colorado, to dive deep into this topic together. We’ll learn
- how to identify and to leverage the strengths of other organizations,
- collaboratively strategize and develop messaging that transcends silos, and
- work together toward maximum communications impact
This workshop would be great for teams/partners who are already working together or want to work together on a collaborative communications product. Our pricing model for registration is designed to encourage groups of two or more to attend; however, you can totally show up on your own if you’re wanting to learn how to get started working on collaborative communications.
This workshop will be held in conjunction with the Western Collaborative Conservation Network’s Confluence conference, which will be held May 18-21. You don’t need to attend Confluence to attend the Storyteller’s Circle workshop, but we highly recommend that you do!
Event Details
Thursday afternoon 5/21: arrive in Fort Collins (if you’re not already there for Confluence). We’ll convene at 3:30 to meet each other and prep for a full day of work on Friday. We’ll end the day with a group dinner at a local restaurant (self-pay).
Friday 5/22: We’ll get going by 9 a.m. to give ourselves a full day to dig deep on collaborative communications. This day will be a mix of whole group sessions and individual group work time, with access to both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Friday lunch is included in your registration fee. We’ll shoot to wrap up between 4 and 5 p.m. for those who are traveling home on Friday; if you’re sticking around, we’ll have an optional group dinner.
